Each member have their own views on issues that are covered in design charrettes. However as charrettes are intended to be a level playing field for all views expressed, therefore these views carry no more weight than any other member of the community.
As Look! St Albans is community led not committee led during the year, in addition to the two formal meetings, a series of open sessions are held to discuss and debate topics of interest and how we develop. At the moment these meetings are held in a pub, but we are open to suggestions for other venues. All types of meetings are advertised on our website. http://www.lookstalbans.org/newsevents
Willing hands are always appreciated, anyone who lives within the city and district of St Albans and feel they can contribute are welcome to join ‘Team Look!’ and get stuck in!
Look! St Albans works with the City and District Council http://www.stalbans.gov.uk/planning/Planningpolicy/neighbourhoodplanning.aspx , there is always a place for an officer from the Spatial Planning & Design Team to advise on national and local planning policy. Two places are available to the portfolio holders for planning and localism from ‘of the day’ duly elected administration of the council. Look! St Albans is a non-party political organisation.
Members of the Representatives’ Group are expected to promote the Ethos, Purpose and Aims of Look! St Albans.
